The big B of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan’s Twitter account was hacked by a Turkish hacker group, Ayyildiz Tim, around 11:40 pm on Monday.
The news spread like wildfire as the actor has 37.4 million followers on Twitter. Hackers did a number of changes with profile and posted 3 tweets. They replaced Mr. Bachchan’s profile picture with a picture of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the cover photo was changed with a promo picture of the group with an eagle in flight and also changed the bio, where they added “Love Pakistan” with an emoji of the Turkish flag.
The first tweet which was also pinned on the profile said, “This is an important call to the whole world! We do condemn the irrespective behaviors of Iceland republic towards Turkish footballers. We speak softly but carry a big stick and inform you about the big Cyber attack here. As Ayyıldız Tim Turkish Cyber Army”
According to Indian media, Mumbai Police spokesperson said, “We have informed our cyber unit and Maharashtra Cyber about *hacked* Twitter account of @SrBachchan. They are investigating the matter. Further updates awaited”
Ayyildiz Tim, the Turkish hackers’ group is famous for hacking celebrities accounts as Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, Anupam Kher, and Kriti Sanon, as well as Abhishek Bachchan’s account. Not only this, but they have also hacked various government websites including the United States, Britain, Netherlands, Denmark, China, Russia, and Egypt.
